Leaderboards: understand the rank before counting a reward
A rank tells you where a record sits within a particular competition. It is not automatically a reward balance or a completed payout.
Make an informed start
Clear choices start here.Four numbers with different meanings
| Number | What it describes | Do not confuse it with |
|---|---|---|
| Rank | Position in the displayed board | A confirmed payout |
| Qualifying total | Activity counted under that board’s rules | Every transaction in the account |
| Confirmed CB balance | Credit available under account rules | An unreviewed leaderboard prize |
| Reward request amount | A separate redemption transaction | The board’s ranking score |
Identify the leaderboard and its period
Open the leaderboard in Rewards & Bonuses and inspect the current period and qualification details. Rankings can refer to a particular time window or set of activities. A lifetime balance and a period-specific qualifying total need not match.
Compare your own record with the actual board, not a screenshot from an earlier period. An empty board or loading error should be read as the state shown, not as an unannounced prize opportunity.
Separate ranking activity from a reward entitlement
The current CinchBucks interface distinguishes qualifying earnings used for rankings from a prize balance, and notes that any leaderboard payouts require review. Read the live reward conditions before counting a displayed position as credited CB.
Do not infer a payout amount from another platform’s leagues or tiers. A similar trophy icon does not establish the same competition rules, reward schedule or claim process.
Choose activities for their own terms
A leaderboard can be an optional way to follow progress, but the activity you start still needs to fit your device, eligibility and time. A rank target does not justify repeating a prohibited offer or spending money to chase a position.
Keep costs and confirmed credit separate. If an advertised campaign includes paid stages, evaluate them independently of any possible leaderboard result.
Ask about a specific discrepancy
If a record looks incorrect, identify the board, period, qualifying activity and date. Keep the relevant transaction reference and describe what you expected under the displayed rules. Avoid sharing another member’s personal information in the report.
Follow the official review route. This page does not award a prize, certify a final position or announce a permanent leaderboard payout schedule.
A good position is still a position
Illustrative example: you appear near the top of a board during an active period. You check the period and review conditions, but do not add a presumed prize to your available balance. You continue choosing activities by their own requirements rather than purchasing an extra stage solely to defend the rank.
A question worth answering.
Does a leaderboard position guarantee a payment?
No. Use the current competition terms and any required review. The rank and a confirmed reward are separate records.
Before you start.
